Petal & Peak Mental Health is a relational, trauma-informed therapy practice based in Denver, Colorado, providing inclusive, affirming care to adolescents, adults, and older adults. We offer in-person therapy in Southwest Denver and statewide telehealth across Colorado.
We are a small, collaborative team by design. Our clinicians work together, consult regularly, and share responsibility for maintaining ethical, thoughtful, and sustainable care.
While we are not currently hiring, we believe in transparency about the roles that may open in the future and what working at Petal & Peak entails.

Roles We Typically Hire For
When positions do open, they generally fall into the categories below.

LCSWs at Petal & Peak provide outpatient therapy to adolescents, adults, and older adults. This role is best suited for clinicians who value relational, depth-oriented work and want to practice as part of a team rather than in isolation.
Key details:
Colorado LCSW required
W-2 employee role
Eligible for insurance credentialing
Mix of in-person and telehealth work
Minimum of two days per week in the Denver office required
Ongoing clinical consultation included
LCSWs participate in regular consultation and collaborative dialogue with colleagues. Even as independently licensed clinicians, no one here practices alone.
Common focus areas may include anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship dynamics, caregiving stress, chronic pain, and major life transitions.

We periodically bring on LSWs or SWCs who are working toward full licensure and seeking a supportive, developmentally appropriate clinical environment.
Key details:
Colorado LSW or SWC required
W-2 employee role
Clinical supervision included with an LCSW and ACS
Weekly, structured supervision
Gradual, manageable caseload
Minimum of two days per week in the Denver office required
This role emphasizes skill development, ethical decision-making, and long-term professional sustainability rather than productivity pressure or rapid caseload expansion. Pre-licensed clinicians are fully integrated into the team and supported accordingly.

When available, MSW and BSW field placements at Petal & Peak are designed to be clinically meaningful, supervision-forward, and ethically grounded.
At this time, we only accept MSW students who are both enrolled in Colorado-based social work programs and physically located in Colorado during their placement.
We currently maintain formal supervision agreements with:
University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work
Colorado Mesa University
Geographic & Program Requirements
To ensure ethical supervision, regulatory compliance, and appropriate clinical oversight:
Students must be enrolled in a Colorado-based MSW or BSW program
Students must be located in Colorado for the duration of their placement
In-person expectations:
Denver-local MSW students (including University of Denver campus students) are expected to be in the office a minimum of two days per week
Remote placements:
Colorado Mesa University MSW and BSW students may complete field placements fully remotely, contingent on university requirements and supervisory capacity
We are not able to accommodate students enrolled in out-of-state programs, even if the student is residing in Colorado.
Field placement availability varies year to year and depends on supervisory capacity and practice needs. When placements are not available, we are unable to respond to individual placement requests.
